The Terminus Invaders (Episodes 12-23) PL 10
Centuria kicked off this arc by using her Possibility Shard on herself, swapping places with a Centuria who was the sole survivor of a universe destroyed by Una in a different Netherwar. This Centuria was fierce, a little unstable, and grateful to see her friends alive and well. She caused a scene at the boardwalk with a costumed Overdrive. Eventually the group met with her and discussed next steps. The rest of the Freedom League, including their former teammate Nova, had gone on a mission to space and were overdue for check in.
The group went to Freedom Hall where they met Daedalus’ robot concierge Synthia, who gave them access to a Pegasus where Resonant found her famous space suit. They found the Freedom League’s ship under attack by the bounty hunter Loma Slife. After driving off Loma Slife, they headed to the planet’s surface and found Daedalus under the “care” of Physician Friendly, one of Omega’s lieutenants. Daedalus was able to tell the group that the rest of the Freedom League was taken to the Terminus, and they mounted a rescue mission across dimensions.
Our heroes freed the mind-controlled Freedom League after a brief conflict and teamed up with the Furions who told them that Taarvon the Undying had ousted Omega and become the ruler of the Terminus. They concocted a plan to stop Taarvon, but before they could implement it, they asked to meet with Tommen the Archivist. Bowman joined the group at this point. They saved the Archivist and were given access to his Source Book. Each asked the book a question and received an answer.
The Archivist sent them directly to the battle with Taarvon. The combined might of the Freedom League and our heroes was barely enough to stop him. Resonant, in a high stakes gamble teleported herself back to Una’s inner sanctum and cast a ritual to sever Taarvon’s connection to Una’s magic. She also finally created a proper superhero costume at this moment. Resonant learned that Seven and Una weren’t dead, but instead had fused into one being and the two were fighting over control of that form. As she was doing this, Mortis freed Omega from Taarvon’s mental influence. The fight wasn’t without casualties however. Most of the Freedom League was slain in the conflict.
Fortunately, Mortis wouldn’t take that lying down. He went into the Underworld and negotiated with Hades to release their souls. Hades agreed on the terms of Mortis plugging a hole in the Underworld that was leaking Nether magic into the dimension. Mortis and the deceased Freedom Leaguers accomplished the mission and Mortis learned that he was the Master Mage of the Crossroads. Everyone returned to Earth-Prime and Daedalus officially invited the team to join the Freedom League, creating the Freedom League Dark.
Bowman officially joined the ranks of FLD at this point, serving as a liaison between the proper Freedom League and this new team. This was a role he initially took begrudgingly, as he had a relationship with Seven and he laid partial blame for her demise at the feet of the new heroes. Fortunately, after they rescued the Freedom League from the Underworld and proved their mettle, he came around to trust and respect them.
