Prequel (Episodes 1-7) PL 8

Our story began with a group of students at the Claremont Academy. Their first day at the prestigious school for superpowered students was interrupted by an attack at Freedom Hall. Their friend, the recently graduated Seven, was at the headquarters of the Freedom League for her interview to join when Bres the Beautiful launched an invasion to recover his Orb of Ghorrumaz. Seven cast a spell which malfunctioned, summoning her friends (and a few new faces) instead of the Freedom League. Together the group defeated Bres, but they soon realized this was orchestrated by Una, Queen of the Netherworld.

The newly christened Liberty League, went with Seven to the Netherworld, where they liberated the Nightsong work camp and survived a harrowing journey by train to the capital city of Nethermoor. Once there, they infiltrated Una’s palace, embarrassed her guard captain with a one-shot knockout by Seven, and fell into a trap. Una tricked them into her personal inner sanctum and locked the group inside a pocket dimension. With some quick thinking they managed to escape, only to learn that Una was now on Earth-Prime, ready to seize the planet as the 1,000th world in her domain so she could become a new god.

Our heroes raced across dimensions to Freedom City and faced Una. They stopped her (and her dragons) but the young Death Gate’s Soul Vault went out of control and threatened to suck everyone into the Underworld. Seven and Una were both sucked down into the vortex and Seven sacrificed herself to seal the portal before anyone else was hurt. This was a serious blow to the group and everyone went their separate ways.
