Minerva Vantner – The Golem
Played by Andy
Minerva Vantner was a champion of women’s rights, a firebrand in the suffragette movement. She was loyal, fiercely protective of her fellow suffragettes and unwilling to back down from the fight. Her position earned her the ire of many a man who did not want the status quo to change.
When the 19th amendment was passed, but before it could be ratified, Minerva was confronted by some very angry men who wished to take their frustrations out on one of Titan City’s champions of women’s rights. This confrontation was the last she remembered before she woke in a body that was not her own. Her soul had somehow been ensnared by a Rabbi attempting to bring a golem to bear to protect his congregation.
When she awoke and the Rabbi discovered what had happened, he ran, leaving her to her new persona. Minerva would stumble through the streets that night and for a good while longer, attempting to come to terms with her new form. However, this drew the attention of locals who decried a form lumbering in the night, with keening cries of anguish, and sought help to purge it from the neighborhoods. As she was on the run, she stumbled upon an associate of Mr. Powers, who took Minerva to Club Tartarus.
Mr. Powers listened to her story and offered to help her, in exchange for her work at the club. In time with his help, she was able to control the golem’s form, assuming a (relatively) convincing facsimile of her human form. However, too much time had passed and she was considered deceased, and she could not go back to her old life
